by WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
directed by TOM LITTLER

Your wit’s too hot.

Summer 1939. Four friends escape to the country to write, read, and study – away from the distractions of town life. But the best laid plans go awry. The friends are soon thwarted by a group of eccentric locals obsessed with amateur theatricals and, worse, the arrival of four dazzling women from town. Now our heroes face a challenge: how to pursue true love – without their companions finding out…

In the idyllic gardens of Thomas’s College on Richmond Hill, OT Artistic Director Tom Littler reunites the team behind Twelfth Night to stage Shakespeare’s spirited comedy of youthful romance. The story ends on one of comedy’s great cliffhangers: one resolved in Much Ado About Nothing – also known as Love’s Labour’s Won.

A co-production with Guildford Shakespeare Company.

“Tom Littler’s gorgeous production is packed with delightful comic details.” – Financial Times on Twelfth Night

“Stand thee close, then, under this penthouse, for it drizzles rain (Much Ado About Nothing, Act 3 Scene 3)

Should the rain get a little too heavy, don’t worry! The performance will still go ahead under cover – allowing you to enjoy this production no matter the weather.

Two Comedies. One Summer. Endless Delight.
