Beloved soprano Dame Emma Kirkby teams up with lutenist extraordinaire Sami Brown for a special programme of lute songs which takes us on a Lenten journey through grief, hope, and solace. Music will include works by Dowland, Campion, and Purcell, all masterful exponents of that most intimate of genres, the solo song.

“Emma Kirkby’s singing is more beautiful than ever.”

BBC Music Magazine

“A sensitive accompanist; Brown’s beautiful solos were captivating.”

St Mary Magdalene church

The church is located on Church Walk, Richmond, TW9 1SN, and offers level access through wide glass doors and parking very close to the church with easy drop-off.

Inside there is a lift to upstairs facilities, a wheelchair-accessible toilet on the ground floor just off the entrance lobby, and chairs rather than fixed pews so special seating can be arranged on request.

A sound (induction) loop system is installed throughout, and if you will need assistance, the church welcomes you to contact them in advance to arrange support.
