Peace and ‘appiness, that’s what we’re all looking for, but where are we going to find it?
Sheppey has always considered himself a lucky man.
When this hardworking hairdresser wins the lottery everyone wants a piece of the prize: his wife wants a charlady, his daughter wants to finance her wedding, his son-in-law to forge a career in politics and his employer hopes he has a new business partner.
But Sheppey has other ideas that will throw the family home into chaos. Charity begins at home, they say, but where does it end?
The first major production in over 50 years of Somerset Maugham’s warm-hearted, beguiling last play is directed by Artistic Director Paul Miller, following his hugely popular revivals of plays by Bernard Shaw, Terence Rattigan, Doris Lessing and DH Lawrence.
