by AUGUST STRINDBERG
adapted by HOWARD BRENTON
directed by TOM LITTLER

When you’ve been deceived, even just once, you arm yourself.

Adolf, an artist, is hopelessly in love with his new wife Tekla – brilliant, worldly, and enthrallingly unpredictable. But in a quiet seaside hotel, a chance encounter with a persuasive stranger begins to unravel everything he thought he knew. As suspicion takes root and loyalties crumble, revenge is best served cold.

Creditors is a darkly glittering masterpiece; a devastating comic thriller about marriage and manipulation.

Charles Dance, Geraldine James, and Nicholas Farrell reunite for the first time since The Jewel in the Crown. Each of them have starred in many RSC productions, with Dance also appearing in Game of Thrones, The Crown and The Jackal, James has starred in Downton Abbey and Anne with an E, and Farrell in The Iron Lady and Chariots of Fire.

OT Artistic Director Tom Littler directs this scintillating version by Howard Brenton (Churchill in Moscow).
