Richmond Concert Series in association with Orange Tree Theatre at St Mary Magdalene church, Richmond
In the summer of 1829, Vincent Novello, the music publisher from London, visited and spent time with Constanze Mozart in Salzburg and found her to be “one of the most interesting persons now in existence”.
Join acclaimed actress Jane Asher for an extraordinary evening of theatre and music, celebrating Mozart’s life, loves and glorious music through Constanze’s perspective. A brilliant soprano, she is the beloved and supportive wife of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the mother of his children.
Written by Tim Coates, Constanze offers a witty, moving and fascinating insight into one of history’s greatest composers and the woman who knew him best. The performance is interwoven with some of Mozart’s most beautiful music, performed live by internationally acclaimed Welsh soprano Fflur Wyn and award-winning pianist Andrew Matthews-Owen.
