Abigail Lawrie makes her stage debut as Isla following her acclaimed performance in JK Rowling's The Casual Vacancy on BBC One. In the first major revival of Sharman Macdonald's play, Lorraine Pilkington (Monarch of the Glen, Outnumbered) and Steve Nicolson (Toast at the Park Theatre, War Horse in the West End) play her parents Maggie and Alec, with Mark Edel-Hunt (Chariots of Fire in the West End, Call the Midwife on TV) as Mackenzie and Sarah-Jayne Butler (Thark at Park Theatre, This House at the National Theatre) as Cath.

The Orange Tree’s commitment to new writing alongside rare revivals continues with Adam Barnard’s new play buckets. The final play in Paul Miller’s first season as Artistic Director follows hit productions of Alistair McDowall’s Pomona (transferring to the National Theatre and Royal Exchange in the Autumn) and Deborah Bruce’s The Distance (returning to the Orange Tree in a co-production with Sheffield Theatres, playing in the Crucible Studio).
