Our new canned wine partnership: The Uncommon

Introducing our new canned wine partnership: The Uncommon

We’re delighted to be partnering with The Uncommon at the Orange Tree Theatre, bringing you exceptionally good English wine in a format that’s made for theatre-going. We’ve been diligent in choosing the best product for our audiences and our bar team, and The Uncommon stood out for three reasons:

The Uncommon: Unbelievably good English wine

The Uncommon is an English winemaker that delights in breaking tradition for the better and creating wines that overflow with local character. They arrive all the way from just down the road, ready to burst into life whenever and wherever you are.

The Uncommon’s vineyard unfurls down a south-facing slope of the North Kent Downs, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Their range of English still and bubbly wines are made using the world class handpicked grapes grown there.

Their signature English sparkling white wine – affectionately known as Gerald – is made using Bacchus and Chardonnay, dry and delicately fizzing with notes of elderflower, citrus and freshly cur grass. Alongside it, Eleanor, a light and bright Pinot Noir rosé is overflowing with red summer fruits.

These wines regularly receive medals alongside some of the world’s best bottles, including at IWSC and Decanter.

As the UK’s first B Corp Certified winemaker, sustainability is cultivated at their core. Regenerative farming in the vineyard, a focus on locality and championing alternative formats mean their wines have a significantly lower carbon footprint — with no compromise on quality.

This is not another glass of usual. It’s unmistakably English and unbelievably good.
