Georgia Green joins the OT as Carne Associate Director

The Orange Tree Theatre are thrilled to announce that Georgia Green has joined as the OT’s new Carne Associate Director.

Generously supported by Philip and Christine Carne, the position of the Carne Associate Director is crusical to our artistic and producing teams, and leads the OT’s artistic development work. Georgia takes over the role from Natasha Rickman, who has recently been appointed as Artistic Director of the Mercury Theatre, Colchester.

On joining the OT, Georgia says:

“I am totally thrilled to be returning to the very theatre where I originally trained as a director, especially at this exciting time for the Orange Tree. Doing The Mikvah Project here started my career and so it feels lovely to be back in this new role.”
 
Georgia was previously Resident Director at the National Theatre Studio and a Staff Director on The Grapes of Wrath and Infinite Life, again for the National Theatre.
 
Her work as director includes, The Winslow Boy and Gloria for RADA; The Get for BBC Radio 3, The EU Killed My Dad at Jermyn Street Theatre; Invisible at the Bush Theatre and 59E59, New York; Ruckus at Southwark Playhouse, Summerhall and on UK tour; Pilgrims at GSMD; Three Sisters, Blue Stockings and You Got Older for LAMDA; Human Animals for RWCMD; Twelfth Night for ALRA; Parliament Square for Rose Bruford; and OUTSIDE and The Mikvah Project at the Orange Tree Theatre and BBC Radio 4.
 
As assistant or associate director: Emilia for LAMDA; Dirty Crusty at The Yard; Amsterdam (also ATC and Theatre Royal Plymouth), Out of Water and The Double Dealer at the Orange Tree; and Zog at The Rose, Kingston.
She had been a lead facilitator at Cardboard Citizens and a visiting tutor on the MFA in Directing and Acting at LAMDA.
