The Orange Tree Theatre is seeking to appoint two new Trustees to join the current experienced Board.
We are looking for candidates who may have experience in in the following areas:
• Commerce and finance, with a view to becoming our new Finance Committee Chair
• Fundraising including corporates and/or capital campaigns
• HR and employment law
• Commercial theatre management
We welcome applications from highly skilled people from all backgrounds with the ability to make effective contributions to the Board and the ongoing success of the OT. Using their proven past experience and connections in the relevant area of expertise, together with excellent ambassadorial and communication skills, successful candidates will support the Executive Team to fulfil the ambitious business plan for this powerhouse of independent theatre.
Trustees are expected to attend quarterly meetings (held at the OT in Richmond) and subcommittee meetings as and when appropriate, as well as theatre performances and fundraising events. A commitment to equal opportunities and diversity, as well as a good sense of humour, are vital.
Appointments are for an initial 3-year term, which may be renewed for a further 3-year term.
Please note this is an unpaid voluntary role.
