Trained at RADA, then stage management at Worthing and Oxford Playhouse.
Maroussia joined the RSC as a founder member (mostly walking on) but played Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing and the Mother of the Prince of Aragon in The Merchant of of Venice, receiving good reviews although this part does not actually exist. She married the Prince of Aragon (Ian Richardson) and continued with the RSC, playing in The Devils and the original Marat/Sade at the Aldwych and on Broadway. She gave up stage work in order to be PA/dresser/secretary for her increasingly successful husband. After his death in 2007, started acting again with The Last Confession (Chichester and Haymarket); Looking For Vi (Riverside Studios); Heartbreak House (Chichester); Pygmalion (Walton Riverside); The First Actress (Theatre Technis and Smallhythe); with small excursions into film with The Parachute Ball (Special Recognition Award, Boston International Film Festival), and television (Midsomer Murders, twice).
