Eva Magyar is an actor, director, choreographer and acting coach. She was born in Budapest where she received her diploma at the Film and Theatre University. She worked in Hungary on many big theatre projects before she was running her physical theatre company for 15 years. She received many awards with the company, including The Herald Angel in Edinburgh, Best director in Poland and Best Show in USA.
In England her first appearance on stage was playing Yseult at The National Theatre’s Tristan and Yseult show directed by Emma Rice.
She worked with many companies including RSC, Globe, The Royal Court. She was back at The National many times, including the extremely successful show Hedda Gabler, directed by Ivo von Hove, starring Ruth Wilson and Rafe Spall.
She also worked on films, including X-Men: First Class, Baptiste, Father Brown, Let Me Go, Overlord, and Last Year on Moonhaven, Piece of my Heart, Wolves of War, What Remains.
